Proving Ground: The Many Flavors of Authentication

I recently had the pleasure of moderating the latest ISC2 ThinkT@nk as part of their Security Leadership Series. This event, sponsored by RSA, focused on the issue of choosing the proper strong authentication technology depending on the risk associated with the user scenario. A very interesting topic and one that garnered a great dialogue with the audience. An archive of the event can be found here: Proving Ground-The Many Flavors of Authentication. We were fortunate to have Mark Diodati from the Burton Group, who shared some of his latest research, along with Karen Kiffney of RSA who gave us some specific guidance on the technologies her company offers, as well as some great “in the trenches” views from Matt O’Reilly.

Great stuff all around, and the conversation has continued with many of the participants via e-mail after the event. If you were onthe event live, or have had a chance to check out the archived version, please feel free to add your questions and comments to this post and we’ll bne sure to get you answers from our panelists.
