Irving Escobar was sentenced to five years in prison for his participation in a scheme to defraud TJX customers by using their credit card information to buy Wal-Mart gift cards in Florida. And so we come to the end of the line, as it were, in the digital theft of credit card data on 45.7 million customers of TJX — the parent company of such retail brands as  T.J. Maxx and Marshalls.
