Seattle-based software company, Vantos, has raised $10.6 in a second round of funding led by Fluke Venture Partners , with participation from OVP Venture Partners and Outlook Ventures .
Tapping into a similar vein as Guidance , Access Data , and others, Vantos produces software that streamlines and helps manage the investigative process. Maybe they can absorb the talent flowing out of Guidance that Access Data can't, provided there is any left.
In an interesting and related note: Outlook Ventures is also backing network forensics and DLP company Reconnex . despite not sharing any board members, I wonder if there is a play to partner the two companies up in an effort to cover more of the detection/investigation lifecycle, especially as it relates to breaches.
