Bridgeway, a provider of technology solutions for in-house legal departments, announced that it has developed a new Legal Hold application and workflow product to assist with the notification and preservation process.

 

According to Rich Hall, Vice President of eDiscovery Solutions at Bridgeway, "General counsel have told us that they want a Legal Hold application that manages preservation notices, interviews, and collections more cost-effectively than previously available offerings."

 

Bridgeway Legal Hold is designed to assist corporate legal departments with generating, distributing and tracking preservation notices. In addition, it provides the ability to track interviews and capture results of interviews, and it supports the process to collect the discoverable data.

 

Bridgeway President Keith Okano explains, "Corporations face an increased risk of sanctions if they do not have a consistent, auditable legal hold process. Many methods currently in use are error prone and may even be manual. Bridgeway's 19-year service to corporate legal departments helps us recognize corporate legal clients' specific needs, and uniquely qualifies us to develop a solution that meets those needs."

Hall adds, "Bridgeway Legal Hold fits Bridgeway's strategy to provide a complete technical suite for legal administration. This web-based application integrates with the client's existing e-mail system and corporate infrastructure."

 

Bridgeway Legal Hold is the first component of Bridgeway's end-to-end electronic discovery solution. The entire product will be delivered in 2008.
