What you will find here is a collection of our Observations, Perspectives, and ViewPoints on the market, security trends, compliance issues, etc. These might be gleaned from interesting news, current events, or conversations from our community that we find interesting and choose to share. Our Observations, basically our dispatches from the field, are open to anyone reading this site and are also pushed out through our RSS feeds. Our meatier stuff, the Perspectives and ViewPoints, is for our registered community only.

Go ahead and register. It's free, easy, and we won't share your information with anyone.

One more thing: we have found that one of the hazards of being passionate about what you do is that sometimes, you get really fired up about something. So remember, like everything else we publish here, this is open for comment and dialogue with the community. Feel free to back us into a corner to defend our positions and findings. It's part of the process of delivering good sound results.

Observations represent the layer of research closest to the action. A sort of InfoSec and Audit related anthropology. It is here that we try to call out into the open things we are seeing in the field. Much of this is gleaned from our Clinincs and Workshops, as well as the interesting conversation we have at conferences and water coolers. We don't attribute our sources explicitly, but if you see a little of yourself in these Observations and want to take credit, just comment and let the community know.
