Chase comes to us from Connecticut where for the past 6 years he has worked as Secondary Social Studies Educator teaching 10th and 11th grade students world and U.S. history. As an educator, he brings a wealth of experience from planning diverse lessons to addressing the needs of students with exceptional learning needs, as well as gifted and talented students.
Outside of the classroom Chase has proven himself as a leader amongst his peers. He is the tri-chair of the high school Professional Development Committee where he was responsible for leading the search for nationally recognized speakers and fellow educators to further develop his fellow colleagues. Such professional development work evolved to include program development, event planning, and creating collaborative environments to improve student engagement.
Chase’s professional resume illustrates his leadership, progressive thinking, and ability to recognize areas of educational need. His drive, passion, commitment, and hard-work were honed at The University of Connecticut where he earned his BA in History and Political Science and a Masters’ degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the NEAG School of Education. While at The University of Connecticut, Chase competed as a Division I springboard diver who achieved great success on the boards ranging from a pool record holder, Big East Finalist, and NCAA National Regional Finalist.
These attributes have transferred well to working with Brightfly where Chase has started work on developing our essential questions, learning objectives and lesson activities for our online course work. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Chase and are excited about the value he adds to Brightfly helping us build a better product for you.
